![]() So I had a thought- what if George Miller were to take a cue from Burton/Elfman, and release a "revisited" version of the BT soundtrack, but with Tom Holkenborg reimagining the score and the songs covered by, well, my choice would be Gary Numan not only for his status as a synth legend from that era who's been covered extensively, but because his newer material is thick with post-apocalyptic vibes. And Maurice Jarre's score doesn't come close to the thundering, sweeping soundscapes we got from Brian May before or Junkie XL after. The music video features Turner dressed in a heavy chain mail gown, more or less as Aunty Entity, the character she played in the movie. Tina's songs are great, but they don't feel like Mad Max. After being exiled from the most advanced town in post apocalyptic Australia, a drifter travels with a group of abandoned children to rebel against the towns queen. With Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence, Adam Cockburn, Tina Turner. Features for the first time the complete score for MAD MAX: BEYOND THUNDERDOME including alternative versions and Bonus Tracks Over 2 Hours of Music. On top of that, I always loved Tina Turner, to the point of mildly crushing.īut as much as I love it, I never play it with the others because it is jarringly out of place in the series. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome: Directed by George Miller, George Ogilvie. ![]() ![]() I was 17 when BT came out, and I love the sheer 80s-ness of it. I know it's not that popular compared to the others, but I do love this album. ![]()
